I'd like to mention and say thanks to a couple of our event supporters.

Harley Davidson of Montgomery will be providing a free lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers at their dealership for all of our ride participants following the ride.

Barber's Vintage Motorsports Museum has a "buy one - get one free" admission deal for any couples that want to visit the museum after our ride on the 28th. They've even offered to remain open later on the 28th if we can tell them approximately how many folks will be coming there afterwards.

Also that Dixie ABATE has made up some really cool "Ride to the Capitol" event pins for all those that come out to support us by making this ride.

COOL!!!There is a link to this on my MSN homepage now and I saw it mentioned in THUNDERROADS.

Yay!

I sent a whole article to Wolf, but he didn't get it in the magazine.  I sent Terminator and Thumper each an email that told them how disappointed I was that there wasn't an article about the ride in their March issue, and they didn't answer me.  I don't know whether I have bad email addresses, or whether they just don't ever check their email.  For whatever reason, Thunder Roads has basically failed us.  But it IS on their calendar, for which I'm thankful.

The webmaster updated our website's main page, but you will probably have to hit refresh, because your computer will display what's cached in your system by default.

Thanks for your support, Bluesman!!

It's on like donkey kong.  A free pin will be given to the first 500 bikes to line up.  Everyone will have to fill out a waiver form, since I'm fresh out of an MRF conference that stressed how important waivers are.  (Even though you'd have a tough time making anything go wrong on this 7 mile straight ride with two police escorts.)  The waiver list is a great contact resource for me, anyway.  I won't share any information, but I sure will send an invitation to join to everyone who rides with us.

Any questions?   See you at 11 at the far side of the parking lot, there behind Rooster's, where the SuperCenter is.  As Freddy said, I'm as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.  This is going to be huge.

From Tony Linkins, this morning - for all you North Alabama Riders:

Good morning Kris.

Here's a more detailed, revised plan for anyone that wants to join the northern crew tomorrow.

We're meeting at Rocket HD at 7 am and pulling out at 7:15.

Our first stop will be south of Cullman, Exit 299, meeting riders at the Dodge City Truck Stop at 8:15 and leave there at 8:30.

Our next stop will be Exit 256, at the Oxmoor Chevron. He says we should be there at 9:15 and pulling back on the road at 9:30.

Final stop is the staging area at the Walmart parking lot in Montgomery. Address there for your GPS is 6545 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, Alabama 36117

I added the stops for gas and to meet other riders to this map. I hope it helps.

Rick Randolph has been added as a speaker, and Terry Henderson has dropped out.  Rick is with the Alabama Traffic Safety Center in Montevallo - he coordinates the MSF Rider Safety Courses.  I look forward to hearing what he has to say.   image023
