I often find myself maybe getting a little to comfortable when riding and drop my left arm down and cruise with only the right arm on the bars.Never really thought about it until yesterday when 2 different times dogs ran out in front of me and I realized how much this increases reaction time.

I see people do that all the time.  I do it sometimes when my arm hurts, but I've never thought I was particularly stable when I only had one hand on the bars.  In the experienced rider courses, they make you run the slalom with only one hand and I suck at it!

I think riders think it looks cool sometimes.  I, too, think it looks cool, but I always worry a little bit about it about it when I see it.   image035
