Per our phone conversation, this rumor was heard by myself as well, but not sure that anyone has ever confirmed it.  So as far as anyone knows 'for sure', that is all it was is a rumor.  I believe it started by someone saying that they 'overheard' this nonsense and it took off from there, as so many rumors do.
 
Until this was proven as fact, and an 'organized crime task force' actually states it publicly, I would suggest you consider it rumor.  I do.
